Receiving a dress donation while deconstructing dresses in the studio
Our wonderful volunteers removing lace from a donated dressA rack of donated dress (probably 1/5th of our total donated gowns awaiting attention!)A completed boy’s gown to be sent to a hospital chaplain or charge nurse to be on hand when neededA pair of girls’ gowns ready for packagingOur volunteers love our monthly “sews”. There’s a real sense of community, a joyful purpose… and food!Angel Gowns of Western New York had a surplus of gowns and sent us 50 sewn up by their group for families in the South Bay area! They were beautifully constructed and deeply appreciated!!Donated gowns come from all eras and styles. It’s always a surprise the type of gown we will receive. For this particular dress, the lace could decorate as many as a dozen Angel Gowns! We come to meet old friends and new!
