How We Began

In February 2018, a small but profoundly meaningful initiative was born in the heart of San Pedro, California. Founded by Gayle Fleury, a local artist and resident, "Angel Gowns of South Bay" emerged as a beacon of hope and solace for parents who had experienced the heart-wrenching loss of their children before, during, or shortly after birth.

The idea behind Angel Gowns of South Bay is simple yet profound: to transform wedding dresses into beautiful garments known as "angel gowns" that provide comfort and dignity to the tiniest of angels who have left this world too soon. These gowns are carefully crafted with love and attention to detail, becoming a symbol of remembrance and solace for grieving families.

In just a few short years, Angel Gowns of South Bay has touched the lives of countless families, providing a glimmer of light in their darkest hours. This non-profit organization exemplifies the power of compassion, artistry, and community coming together to make a profound impact. Gayle Fleury's vision has not only brought comfort to grieving parents but has also united a community around the shared belief that even in the face of tragedy, love and beauty can prevail. Angel Gowns of South Bay serves as a reminder that in the depths of despair, there is always an opportunity to bring warmth and comfort to those in need, one stitch at a time.
